I am represented by literary agent Imogen Morrell at Greene & Heaton.
Neon Roses, my debut novel, was published by John Murray Press in May 2023. Neon Roses has been short-listed for the Polari First Book Prize, Wales Book of The Year, and the Betty Trask prize. In 2024 I was selected as one of the Hay Festival Writers at Work and also Chaired a Hay Festival event with Alana S. Portero, Wendy Moore and Kenny Ethan Jones called The Queer Experience.
I'm a Swansea girl, living in Cardiff. In 2012 I was a founder member of Songbirds Choir for LGBT+ women & non-binary people.
In 2020 I won a New Writer's Bursary from Literature Wales. I received a bursary, mentoring from Rebecca F. John, and attended a writing course at Tŷ Newydd. I am currently a mentor on the 2024-2025 Representing Wales bursary programme, which I'm finding very rewarding.
The Ghostly Cruiser, a short story about rural Wales, queer heritage and the hanky code, was featured in Cipher's anthology, Unreal Sex in 2022. My first short play, about swimming and queer joy, was featured in Out-Rage-Us at the Sherman, part of Cardiff's Queer Fringe Festival 2022. My first short story recorded for BBC Radio will be broadcast on Radio 4 on 13th December.
I am a Non Executive Director of Seren Books and a Tutor on some of the creative writing courses at Cardiff University School of Lifelong Learning. I work part time in communications for a political theatre company, and also look after my son on Fridays and Mondays.
I love lino printing, swimming, going out-out, and tending my houseplants.
Thank you to R. E. Dixon for my headshots. You can see more of her work here.
